Mike Shula, born on June 3, 1965, in Portsmouth, Virginia, is a former professional American football quarterback and current offensive coordinator. He played college football at the University of Alabama, where he was a standout player under head coach Ray Perkins. Following a successful collegiate career, Shula was selected in the eighth round of the 1987 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.
