Mike Singletary, born on October 9, 1958, in Houston, Texas, is a former professional American football player who is best known for his time as a linebacker with the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL). A standout at Baylor University, Singletary was selected in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft and quickly established himself as one of the league's premier defensive players.
