Mike Speed is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born on March 15, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia, he gained prominence while playing college basketball for the University of Kentucky, where he was a key contributor to the team’s success during his tenure from 2003 to 2007. In his junior year, Speed helped lead the Wildcats to a prestigious NCAA tournament appearance, earning All-SEC honors for his outstanding performance.

Upon declaring for the NBA Draft, Speed was selected in the second round by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2007. Throughout his six-year professional career, he played for several teams, including stints with the Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, and the Dallas Mavericks.
