Mirjana Lučić-Baroni, born on March 9, 1982, in Split, Croatia, is a retired professional tennis player known for her powerful groundstrokes and competitive spirit. She turned professional in 1997 and quickly garnered attention due to her impressive performances on the WTA tour. Lučić-Baroni achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 32 in March 1999, making her one of the most prominent young talents of her time.
