Biography
Mitch Love, born on June 15, 1984, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. Love was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 4th round, 114th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He played junior hockey with the Saskatoon Blades before embarking on a professional career that included stints in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
Over the course of his playing career, Love competed for several teams, including the Albany River Rats and the Texas Stars. He played a key role in the development of young talent within the organizations he was part of, showcasing his skills both on the ice and as a leader in the locker room.
