Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, born on September 20, 1974, is a former Bangladeshi cricketer known for his contributions to the national team during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Primarily a left-handed batsman, he made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Bangladesh in 1995 against India. Over his international career, Rafiqul played in a total of 75 ODIs, accumulating 1,648 runs at an average of 22.95.
Rafiqul was part of the historic Bangladeshi squad that qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup in 1999, where he played a significant role, including a memorable performance against Scotland.
