Biography
Mollie Marcoux is a former professional ice hockey player known for her contributions to women's ice hockey in the United States. Born on February 13, 1976, in L’Anse, Michigan, she developed a passion for the sport from a young age, showcasing her talent throughout her youth and high school years. Marcoux went on to play collegiate hockey at Princeton University, where she gained recognition for her exceptional skills and leadership as a forward.
During her collegiate career, Marcoux received numerous accolades, including being a two-time Ivy League Player of the Year and earning All-American honors. After graduating from Princeton in 1998, she transitioned to professional play and was a key player in the Women’s National Hockey League (WNHL) and the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL). Marcoux's impressive career also included international competition, representing the United States in several World Championships and contributing to the growth of women's hockey on a global scale.
Following her playing career, Marcoux made significant strides in sports management and administration. She was appointed the director of athletics at Princeton University in 2014, becoming one of the few women to hold such a position at a major Division I institution.
