Biography
Mugumya Abdul is a professional boxing athlete from Uganda, renowned for his skills and tenacity in the ring. Born in 1990, he began boxing at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks in Uganda's amateur boxing scene, earning numerous national championships and accolades. His dedication to the sport has established him as one of Uganda’s notable boxing figures.
Abdul gained international recognition after representing Uganda at various championship events, including the African Championships and the Commonwealth Games. Notably, he secured a bronze medal at the 2018 African Boxing Championships, which bolstered his reputation on the continental stage. His performances earned him invitations to compete in prestigious tournaments, enhancing his exposure to international boxing.
Beyond his achievements in the ring, Mugumya Abdul is celebrated for his role in promoting boxing in Uganda.
