Biography
Murray Heatley, born on November 7, 1948, in Toronto, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his contributions to the sport during the late 1960s and into the 1970s. Heatley played primarily as a left winger, showcasing his scoring ability and playmaking skills throughout his career. He first gained attention while playing junior hockey with the Toronto Marlies, where he demonstrated significant potential that would lead him to the professional ranks.
Heatley was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 3rd round of the 1966 NHL Amateur Draft and subsequently made his NHL debut during the 1969-70 season. Over his career, he played for several teams in the NHL, including the St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Black Hawks, as well as in the WHA with teams like the Houston Aeros.
