Murray Warmath was an American football player and coach, born on December 26, 1912. He played college football at the University of Minnesota, where he was a standout offensive lineman and earned All-American honors in 1935. Warmath went on to have a professional career in the NFL, playing for the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants, where he contributed to successful seasons during his tenure.
Warmath's coaching career began after his playing days, most notably as the head coach of the University of Minnesota football team from 1954 to 1971.
