Natasha Zvereva, born on April 16, 1971, in Minsk, Belarus, is a former professional tennis player renowned for her accomplishments in both singles and doubles competition. She turned professional in 1982 and quickly made a name for herself on the international tennis circuit. Zvereva reached her highest singles ranking of World No. 5 in March 1998, and achieved significant success in doubles, where she was ranked World No. 1.
Throughout her career, Zvereva won a total of 6 WTA singles titles and an impressive 36 doubles titles, including 2 Grand Slam doubles titles at the French Open in 1988 and 1990. She was a formidable competitor in doubles, often partnering with top players such as Gigi Fernández and, at times, representing her country in the Fed Cup. Zvereva also reached the finals of the 1988 French Open singles event, where she was defeated by Steffi Graf.
