Nathan Horton is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player born on May 29, 1985, in Welland, Ontario. He was drafted third overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and began his NHL career with the team in the 2003-2004 season. Known for his right wing position, Horton quickly established himself as a powerful forward through his scoring ability and physical play.
During his tenure in the NHL, Horton played for several teams including the Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins, and the Columbus Blue Jackets. His most notable achievement came during the 2010-2011 season when he played a pivotal role in the Boston Bruins' Stanley Cup victory. Horton registered key goals throughout the playoffs, culminating in his contribution to the Bruins' championship run, which marked the franchise’s first Cup in 39 years.
