Biography
Nathan McIver is a retired Canadian ice hockey player, born on January 6, 1985, in South Surrey, British Columbia. He played the position of defenseman and was known for his physical style and solid defensive play. McIver was drafted 107th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 4th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
McIver made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut during the 2006-07 season with the Vancouver Canucks. He also had stints with the Anaheim Ducks and the Atlanta Thrashers, totaling 38 NHL games in his career. Following his time in the NHL, McIver played primarily in the American Hockey League (AHL) and other minor leagues, where he became recognized for his contributions on and off the ice.
