Neil Smith, born on April 10, 1966, is a former professional American football player who had a prominent career as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Smith played college football at the University of Nebraska, where he was recognized for his exceptional skills and athleticism. He was selected in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Throughout his career, Smith established himself as one of the most formidable pass rushers in the league. He played a significant role in the Chiefs' defense during his stint from 1988 to 1996, earning four Pro Bowl selections and contributing to the team's success. In addition to his time with the Chiefs, Smith also played for the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos, winning two Super Bowl titles with Denver in the late 1990s.
