Nelson Davis is a former professional basketball player who gained prominence as a shooting guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA) during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Born on May 12, 1976, in Chicago, Illinois, Davis exhibited exceptional talent in basketball from a young age, earning All-State honors during his high school career at Kenwood Academy. He went on to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was part of a team that reached the NCAA Finals.
Davis was selected by the Orlando Magic as the 23rd overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft.
