Nicklas Grossmann, born on January 22, 1985, in Stockholm, Sweden, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his solid defensive skills and physical style of play. He was selected in the second round, 56th overall, by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Grossmann began his professional career in Sweden's Elitserien before transitioning to the National Hockey League (NHL), where he became a key player for multiple teams.
