Nicolás Almagro, born on August 21, 1985, in Murcia, Spain, is a retired professional tennis player renowned for his powerful baseline game and proficiency on clay courts. He turned professional in 2003 and quickly made a name for himself within the ATP Tour, achieving his career-high singles ranking of World No. 9 in July 2012. Over the course of his career, Almagro claimed a total of 13 ATP singles titles and reached the quarterfinals of the French Open in 2008.
