Nicolás Massú, born on October 10, 1979, in Viña del Mar, Chile, is a former professional tennis player known for his exceptional achievements in singles and doubles competition. He turned professional in 1995 and quickly made a name for himself on the ATP Tour. Massú reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 9 in September 2004 and was particularly noted for his aggressive playing style and powerful groundstrokes.
