Biography
Niklas Kronwall, born on January 12, 1981, in Stockholm, Sweden, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. He was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the first round, 29th overall, of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Kronwall made his NHL debut in the 2003-2004 season and quickly established himself as a key player known for his physical style of play and offensive capabilities.
Kronwall enjoyed a successful career with the Red Wings, winning the Stanley Cup in 2008 as part of the team's championship roster. He was also recognized for his contributions to the team, earning a spot in the NHL All-Star Game in 2008 and being named to the NHL All-Star Second Team in 2014. Over his career, he amassed over 400 points, solidifying his reputation as a strong two-way defenseman.
