Nirupama Sanjeev, born on December 8, 1976, in India, is a former professional tennis player recognized for her contributions to Indian tennis during the 1990s and early 2000s. She turned professional in 1991 and achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 127 in 1997, becoming the first Indian woman to qualify for the main draw of the Australian Open in 1998. Throughout her career, she reached the second round of several Grand Slam tournaments and earned a reputation for her competitive spirit.
