Noah Welch, born on August 26, 1982, in Tarzana, California, is a retired American ice hockey defenseman notable for his contributions to the sport at both the collegiate and professional levels. Welch played college hockey at the University of Michigan, where he was a key member of the Wolverines' team that won the NCAA championship in 1998 and made a significant impact with his defensive skills and offensive contributions. He was selected in the second round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers.
Welch began his professional career in the American Hockey League (AHL), playing for teams such as the Rochester Americans and the Norfolk Admirals.
