Norwood Varnado, born on April 24, 1984, is a retired American professional basketball player known for his outstanding defensive skills and shot-blocking ability. A native of Mississippi, Varnado played college basketball at Mississippi State University, where he became the all-time leader in blocked shots for the school and gained national attention for his performances in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
