Ocie Conley was an American professional basketball player born on November 8, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee. He played as a forward and was known for his scoring ability and rebounding skills. Conley attended the University of Alabama, where he made significant contributions to the college basketball program, earning All-SEC honors during his tenure.
Conley was selected in the second round of the 1971 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, where he played for two seasons. He later had stints with the New Orleans Jazz and the Detroit Pistons, showcasing his versatility as a player. Over the course of his professional career, Conley averaged 8.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game across multiple seasons in the NBA, as well as periods in other leagues.
Following his retirement from professional basketball, Conley remained involved in the sport through coaching and mentoring young athletes.
