Biography
Odell Haggins, born on February 27, 1967, is a former American football defensive tackle and coach. He played college football at Florida State University, where he was a standout performer and contributed significantly to the team's success in the late 1980s. Haggins entered the National Football League (NFL) when he was selected in the 10th round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
During his professional playing career, Haggins spent the majority of his time with the 49ers, where he played from 1990 to 1995, becoming a key contributor on a team that won Super Bowl XXIX. He later had brief stints with the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers before transitioning to coaching. Haggins was known for his strong work ethic and leadership both on and off the field, earning respect from teammates and coaches alike.
After retiring as a player, Haggins transitioned into coaching, eventually returning to Florida State University as an assistant coach.
