Biography

Pamela Findlay is a retired professional basketball player who gained prominence in the early 2000s as a versatile forward in women’s basketball. Born in 1985 in Seattle, Washington, she showcased her talents at a young age, leading her high school team to multiple state championships. Findlay went on to play college basketball at the University of Washington, where she earned All-American honors and set several scoring records.

After college, Findlay was selected in the second round of the WNBA Draft in 2007 by the Minnesota Lynx. During her professional career, she became known for her scoring ability and tenacious defense, earning a reputation as one of the league’s top forwards. Over the course of her six-season career, Findlay played for the Lynx, the Houston Comets, and the Phoenix Mercury, contributing to her teams’ playoff runs and securing a championship title in 2011 with the Lynx.

Following her retirement in 2013, Findlay transitioned to coaching and community outreach, focusing on youth development and promoting women’s sports. She is remembered not only for her accomplishments on the court but also for her commitment to empowering young athletes, particularly young women.
