Pat Boutette, born on March 1, 1952, in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his competitive spirit and offensive skills. He was drafted in the second round, 19th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft. Boutette enjoyed a successful career in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the World Hockey Association (WHA), playing primarily as a left winger.
Boutette made his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1973-74 season, where he quickly established himself as a dynamic scorer. He later played for the St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers, and the Quebec Nordiques, accumulating a total of 166 goals and 215 assists in 542 regular-season games.
