Pat Brady (September 7, 1926 – April 17, 2023) was an American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1950s. Born in 1926 in Evansville, Indiana, he attended the University of Illinois, where he honed his skills and stood out as a talented passer. Brady was selected in the 13th round of the 1949 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, marking the beginning of his professional career.
Brady played for the Chicago Bears from 1949 to 1953, during which he was known for his strong arm and strategic mind on the field. He contributed to the team's success in various capacities, including stepping in as a starting quarterback when necessary. In 1953, he helped guide the Bears to the NFL Championship, solidifying his place in the franchise's history.
After leaving the Bears, Brady played for the Green Bay Packers before wrapping up his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers.
