Patrick William Stapleton, born on July 4, 1940, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his role as a defenseman during the 1960s and 1970s. Stapleton began his career in junior hockey with the Winnipeg Warriors before making the transition to professional leagues. He was drafted by the Chicago Black Hawks in the 1960 NHL Amateur Draft, eventually playing a key role in their defensive lineup.
