Biography
Paul Baxter, born on October 28, 1955, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman recognized for his skills on the ice and contributions to the sport. Baxter played junior hockey with the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) before being selected in the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft.
Baxter made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1979-80 season and went on to play over 300 games in the league. He also had notable stints with the Hartford Whalers, where he became known for his physical play and defensive capabilities, contributing to his teams' successes during the early 1980s.
