He began his junior career in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Sioux City Musketeers before being drafted in the second round, 39th overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Bittner, known for his size and scoring ability, played significant roles in both junior and professional leagues.
During his tenure with the Portland Winterhawks in the Western Hockey League (WHL), Bittner showcased his offensive talents, recording impressive point totals and helping the team secure playoff berths.
