Paul Gentry is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born on March 15, 1985, in Miami, Florida, Gentry had a standout high school career at Miami High School, where he earned numerous accolades and garnered attention from collegiate scouts. He played college basketball at the University of Miami, where he became the team's all-time leading scorer, setting records for points, three-pointers made, and free-throw percentage.

Gentry was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets, where he quickly made a name for himself as a key contributor off the bench.
