Paul Mara, born on September 7, 1979, in Hampton, New Hampshire, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. He was selected seventh overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers, marking the beginning of a notable career in the National Hockey League (NHL). Over the course of his career, Mara played for several teams, including the Panthers, Anaheim Ducks, New York Rangers, Phoenix Coyotes, and the Montreal Canadiens.
