Biography
Paul Postma is a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on February 22, 1989, in Red Deer, Alberta. A defenseman, he was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 205th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Postma played junior hockey for the Calgary Hitmen in the Western Hockey League, where he showcased his offensive skillset and garnered attention for his playmaking ability.
Postma made his NHL debut with the Winnipeg Jets during the 2011-2012 season and became known for his solid two-way play. He recorded a career-high 16 points in the 2013-2014 season, demonstrating his capacity to contribute offensively from the blue line.
