Biography
Paul Ranger is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada, born on September 12, 1984. Ranger was drafted in the seventh round, 221st overall, by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He played as a defenseman, known for his strong skating ability and offensive instincts, making significant contributions during his tenure in the NHL.
Ranger made his NHL debut during the 2005-06 season and quickly became a regular on the Lightning roster. Over his five seasons with the team, he played in a total of 243 games, scoring 24 goals and recording 66 points. His performance peaked in the 2007-08 season, where he tallied a career-high 23 points and played a vital role in the Lightning's defensive lineup.
After leaving the NHL, Ranger continued his career in the American Hockey League (AHL) and overseas in the KHL and various European leagues, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled player.
