Paul Ranheim is a former professional ice hockey player from the United States, born on January 25, 1966. He played as a right winger and was known for his balanced offensive and defensive abilities on the ice. Ranheim was selected in the first round, 12th overall, by the Calgary Flames in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft.
Throughout his career, Ranheim played for several NHL teams, including the Calgary Flames, Philadelphia Flyers, New York Rangers, and the Carolina Hurricanes. He contributed significantly to the Flames' run to the Stanley Cup in 1989, providing key offensive support during the playoffs. Over his 13-season NHL career, Ranheim amassed over 300 points, solidifying his reputation as a reliable player in the league.
After retiring in 2000, Ranheim transitioned to coaching and began a successful career in youth hockey development.
