Paul Rees, born on January 6, 1969, is a retired Australian basketball athlete known for his significant contributions to the sport both domestically and internationally. Standing at 6 feet 11 inches, Rees played primarily as a center and power forward. He began his professional career in the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1987, where he quickly made a name for himself with his exceptional rebounding and shot-blocking abilities.
Throughout his NBL career, which spanned over a decade, Rees played for several teams, including the Perth Wildcats and the Adelaide 36ers. He was instrumental in helping the Wildcats secure their inaugural NBL championship in 1990 and later contributed to the 36ers' success, including their championship victory in 1998.
