Paul Valthaty is a former Indian cricketer, born on December 7, 1983, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Primarily an all-rounder, Valthaty was known for his right-handed batting and off-spin bowling. He made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2002-03 season, showcasing his potential with consistent performances at the domestic level.
Valthaty gained widespread recognition during the 2011 Indian Premier League (IPL) while playing for the Kings XI Punjab. He made history by scoring an explosive century (120 runs off 63 balls) against the Chennai Super Kings, becoming the first player in the tournament's history to achieve this milestone. His standout performances in the IPL led to a brief call-up to the national team, where he made his only One Day International appearance in 2011.
Although Valthaty's international career was short-lived, his contributions to domestic cricket and the IPL left a lasting impression.
