Paul Warfield, born on November 28, 1942, in Warren, Ohio, is a retired American football wide receiver who made significant contributions to the National Football League (NFL) during the 1960s and 1970s. A standout at Ohio State University, Warfield was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 1964 NFL Draft. His exceptional skills and speed established him as one of the premier receivers of his era.
Warfield's professional career includes notable stints with the Cleveland Browns and the Miami Dolphins. With the Browns, he earned three Pro Bowl selections and was named First-Team All-Pro in 1968. After joining the Dolphins in 1970, he continued to excel, helping the team secure two Super Bowl victories (VII and VIII) and becoming an integral part of the undefeated 1972 Dolphins team.
Warfield's legacy is marked by his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986, underscoring his impact on the game.
