Penny Hardaway, born on July 18, 1971, in Memphis, Tennessee, is a retired American professional basketball player. Drafted third overall by the Golden State Warriors in 1993, Hardaway was quickly traded to the Orlando Magic, where he became a cornerstone of the franchise.
