She played college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she garnered attention for her exceptional skills as a guard. Following her collegiate career, Toler was selected in the inaugural Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) draft.
Toler enjoyed a successful professional career primarily with the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks from 1997 to 1999. In her final three seasons, she averaged 13.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game in 1997, showcasing her playmaking abilities and versatility on the court. Although her averages declined in subsequent seasons, Toler remained a vital contributor to the Sparks during her tenure.
After retiring from professional play, Toler transitioned to a management role, taking on the position of General Manager for the Los Angeles Sparks.
