Peter Budaj, born on September 18, 1982, in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, is a former professional ice hockey goaltender known for his contributions to both Slovakian national teams and various teams in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 63rd overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut during the 2005-2006 season. Budaj's notable playing style and work ethic established him as a reliable goaltender in the league.
