Peter Ciavaglia, born on July 15, 1969, in the United States, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his skills as a forward. He played college hockey for the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he garnered attention for his offensive abilities and leadership on the ice. After an impressive collegiate career, Ciavaglia was drafted in the 5th round, 108th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
Ciavaglia made his debut in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 1991-92 season with the Buffalo Sabres, where he played for three seasons.
