Peter Cousens (born May 15, 1932) is a former South African cricketer who played as a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. Cousens made his first-class debut in 1955 and went on to represent Western Province and Transvaal during a career that spanned over a decade. He was known for his solid technique and ability to perform under pressure, contributing significantly to his teams' successes during his playing years.
Cousens' international career was somewhat limited, as he earned his Test cap for South Africa in 1962, featuring in a total of three Test matches. Despite this brief stint on the international stage, he left a lasting impact in domestic cricket, where he amassed over 5,000 runs in first-class cricket, including numerous match-winning innings.
