Peter Reitz is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born on March 15, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, Reitz gained prominence during his college career at the University of Illinois, where he was recognized for his scoring ability and defensive prowess. He led his team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, culminating in a deep run to the Final Four in 2005.
After declaring for the NBA Draft, Reitz was selected 18th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2007. During his seven-season tenure in the NBA, he played for several teams, including the Blazers, the New York Knicks, and the Miami Heat, achieving an average of 15 points per game while earning a reputation as a clutch shooter in critical playoff moments.
