Peter Sidorkiewicz, born on June 29, 1963, in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey goaltender known for his tenure in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Sidorkiewicz was drafted in the fifth round, 105th overall, by the Hartford Whalers in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut during the 1985-86 season and played for several teams, including the Hartford Whalers, New Jersey Devils, and the Ottawa Senators.
Throughout his NHL career, Sidorkiewicz demonstrated notable skill and resilience, achieving a career-best season in 1989-90 with the New Jersey Devils, where he recorded a .895 save percentage and an impressive performance against some of the league’s strongest players. In addition to his NHL experience, he played extensively in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he was recognized for his goaltending prowess.
