Biography
Peter Zezel was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on April 22, 1965. He played predominantly as a center and was known for his exceptional playmaking abilities and tenacity on the ice. Zezel began his NHL career with the Philadelphia Flyers after being selected in the second round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.
Throughout his 12-season NHL career, Zezel played for multiple teams, including the Flyers, St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He achieved notable success during his tenure, amassing over 400 points and contributing significantly to team dynamics, particularly through his strong two-way play and penalty killing skills. Zezel was a key player in the 1991 and 1992 seasons, helping his teams reach the playoffs.
After retiring from professional play in 1999, Zezel continued to influence the sport through coaching and mentoring young athletes.
