Petr Sýkora, born on December 21, 1978, in Pardubice, Czech Republic, is a retired professional ice hockey player known for his scoring ability and playmaking skills. He began his career in the Czech Extraliga, where he played for HC Pardubice before transitioning to the National Hockey League (NHL) in 1995. Sýkora was selected by the New Jersey Devils as the 18th overall pick in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, and he made his NHL debut during the 1995-1996 season.
Throughout his NHL career, Sýkora played for several teams, including the New Jersey Devils, Anaheim Ducks, Atlanta Thrashers, and New York Rangers.
