Biography
Petter Granberg is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenseman born on August 27, 1992, in Norrköping, Sweden. Granberg began his professional career in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) with Norrköping, where he showcased his defensive skills and garnered attention for his strong skating ability and physical play. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 4th round, 110th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Granberg made his North American debut during the 2013-14 season with the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League (AHL) and subsequently made his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs in 2014. He recorded his first NHL point during the 2015-16 season before returning to the AHL, where he continued to contribute to the Marlies’ defense. After a few seasons in North America, Granberg returned to Sweden, continuing his career in various leagues, including a successful stint in the SHL.
