Phil Leisure is a retired professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard during the 1980s and early 1990s. He was born on March 15, 1961, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan, where he gained national attention for his scoring ability and athleticism. Leisure was selected in the second round of the 1983 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs, marking the start of his professional career.

Over his nine-season career in the NBA, Leisure played for the San Antonio Spurs, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Seattle SuperSonics, showcasing his scoring prowess and three-point shooting accuracy. He was named an NBA All-Star in 1988 and contributed significantly to his teams' playoff runs, particularly with the Spurs, where he reached the Western Conference Finals in 1987.
