Biography
Phil Varone, born on December 4, 1990, in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his offensive skill and playmaking ability. Varone was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the fifth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, 147th overall. He developed his skills in junior hockey with the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Kingston Frontenacs before making a successful transition to professional play.
His professional career began with the Rochester Americans in the AHL, where he quickly made a name for himself, earning multiple team MVP awards and a spot in the AHL All-Star Classic.
